The role of information technology experts is becoming increasingly important in the era of artificial intelligence.

RMIT’s Bachelor of Information Technology puts you in the driver seat to design your study program to specialise with your choice of major, while also gaining a breadth of knowledge across multiple areas through minors and electives.

There is high demand throughout for experts in artificial intelligence, data science and cloud technologies – all of which are offered as minors in the Bachelor of Information Technology program. To ensure you are future-ready in a technology-driven era, multiple STEM courses will give you access to career opportunities, both in Vietnam and around the world.

The technical knowledge you gain will also be complemented with business insights and organisational skills, such as project management and cross-cultural collaboration.   • The Bachelor of Information Technology is delivered through lectures, tutorials, projects, group work and industry placements.
  • Assessments will vary with each course but may include examinations, assignments, presentations, projects and group work.

  • You will gain skills as you apply knowledge effectively to new situations

Critical analysis

You will learn to accurately and objectively examine and consider Information Technology topics, evidence, or situations, in particular to:

  • Analyse and model requirements and constraints for the purpose of designing and implementing software applications and other software systems
  • Evaluate and compare designs of such systems on the basis of requirements of the organisational needs

Problem solving

Your capability to analyse problems and synthesise suitable solutions will be extended as you learn to:

  • Design and implement software applications and other software solutions that accommodate specified requirements and constraints, based on analysis or modelling or requirements specification

Communication

You will learn to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences through a range of modes and media, in particular to:

  • Present and explain complex software applications and other software solutions, alternative solutions, and decision recommendations to both IT and non-IT personnel via technical reports of a professional standard and technical presentations

You will learn to work as an effective and productive team member in a range of professional and social situations, in particular to:

  1. RMIT Vietnam has 3 semesters per year, in each semester you enrol into a maximum of 3 courses. The duration of programs is flexible and can be adapted on an individual basis upon enrolment
  2. Program fees are priced and invoiced in Vietnam Dong (VND) by semester.
  3. Payment in other currencies will be converted to VND at the exchange rate on that day. Bank transfer is the preferred method of payment.
  4. The fees in USD are ONLY applicable to those international students who arrange for payment from overseas, as per Circular No. 32/2013/TT-NHNN.

  • Vietnamese Upper Secondary School (High School) Graduation Diploma with a minimum GPA of 7.0/10.0 for Grade 12 (For other international qualifications please viewÌý).

Successfully completeÌýRMIT Vietnam English Advanced,Ìýor complete one of the following English proficiency tests:

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (no band below 6.0)
  • TOEFLÌýiBTÌý79 (with minimum score of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing)
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) 58 (no communication band below 50)
  • C1 Advanced (formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)) or C2 Proficiency (formerly known as Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)) 176 (no less than 169 in any component)
