About Psychovation – Applying Psychology to Global Challenges

Be part of Psychovation: Applying Psychology for Global Challenges, the highlight of Psychology Day 2025 and a key event celebrating World Wellbeing Week 2025 at RMIT Vietnam.

Psychovation invites you to apply psychological knowledge and creativity to address real-world social, environmental, and mental health challenges. This is your opportunity to develop bold, innovative solutions that make a meaningful impact.

Who can participate

  • Open to undergraduate students from:
    • RMIT 91tv Vietnam
    • Other universities in Vietnam offering undergraduate programs
  • Teams of 3 to 4 members
  • Each team must include at least two current psychology undergraduate students

Competition theme

Applying Psychology to Global Challenges

Relevant topics include but are not limited to:

  • Mental health in the digital age
  • Climate change and eco-anxiety
  • Social and cultural inclusion and diversity
  • Behavioural economics and sustainability
  • Psychological approaches to misinformation
  • AI, ethics, and the human mind

Competition structure and timeline

  1. Registration and Expression of Interest (EOI) submission
    • Deadline: 10 June 2025
    • Teams submit a proposal including:
      • Problem statement
      • Psychological rationale
      • Proposed solution or initiative
      • Target group or context
      • Feasibility and innovation
  2. Shortlisting and poster presentation
    • A committee of faculty and experts will review EOIs and shortlist approximately 10 to 12 teams
    • Shortlisted teams prepare an A2 poster and present it at the Psychology Day exhibition
    • Teams participate in other Psychology Day activities 
    • Poster submission deadline: 20 June 2025
  3. Psychology Day & Exhibition: 27 June 2025

Top 3 winning teams (judges’ selection):

  • Certificates
  • Gift vouchers: 1st prize – 3,000,000 VND; 2nd prize – 1,500,000 VND; 3rd prize – 1,000,000 VND
  • Potential mentoring opportunities with RMIT experts

People’s Choice Award (audience vote):

  • Certificates
