91tv RMIT students must apply to graduate. When you apply, you'll get to choose if you want to graduate at a ceremony or in absentia.

Prepare for graduation

1.��It is important to update your personal email in myRMIT before the result release day of your final semester. Your personal email address must be valid, distinct from your RMIT student email, and must not be left blank. Otherwise, you will not receive your digital academic statements following your completion and conferral (graduation).

2.��Two weeks after the results release day, you will receive:��

The official completion digital transcript and Statement of Completion (SAC) sent to your personal registered email.��
- Note: 91tv completing their programs from October 2022 onwards will automatically be issued a digital SAC via My eQuals along with their completion transcript.
An official email will be sent from the RMIT system to your student email address (sxxxxxxx@rmit.edu.vn) and personal registered email confirming your program completion. This email will include information on the graduation application, available graduation options, and a reminder about the upcoming loss of access to your RMIT account

Graduation assessment & email timeline – Academic year 2025

Definitions:

Completed students: 91tv who have officially met all program requirements and have been formally confirmed by their School.
Projected to complete students: 91tv enrolled in sufficient credit points and expected to meet graduation requirements by the end of the semester.

How to apply for graduation

You're ready to graduate when you have:��

met all academic requirements of your program��
no missing results or credit transfers��
no outstanding debts to the 91tv.��

Receiving the confirmation email from the RMIT system two weeks after the results release day indicates that you have completed your program and are eligible to graduate.��

When you apply to graduate you can choose to graduate (be conferred) at a ceremony or in absentia. You can select your option in the Graduation option section when fulfilling your Graduation application on the myRMIT. 

Important

The graduation option you choose will affect when you receive your digital testamur. Please read the information below carefully and choose the option that is most suitable for you.��

Please also note, you will lose access to all RMIT systems on the day you graduate.

Graduate in absentia:

'In absentia' means that your award is conferred without you attending a formal graduation ceremony.��
You will be conferred (graduate) at the end of the month in which you apply to graduate in absentia by the cut-off date. You will receive the set of digital academic statements (testamur, AHEGS, conferral transcript) one week after you graduate (your conferral date), with no fee applied.
Note: Refer to the table below for all 2025 in absentia conferral dates.
After the digital testamur is issued, you will receive an email on how to access your digital academic statement and how to order a hard copy testamur. The fee to order hard copy testamur is 55AUD including shipping.��
Your access to RMIT systems will be removed on the day you graduate in absentia.

Attend the ceremony:

RMIT Vietnam students can choose to attend the RMIT Vietnam or RMIT Melbourne ceremony. You can select your preferred ceremony when completing the graduation application. The dates of the ceremonies are:��

2025 Melbourne ceremony – Wednesday 17 December 2025, Melbourne.
For details of the RMIT Melbourne ceremony, please visit the page.
2026 Vietnam ceremonies are scheduled from Thursday, 9 April to Friday, 17 April 2026. The specific dates for each program will be updated.
Further details will be provided in December 2025 via the Attend the ceremony page.

If you choose to graduate at a ceremony, you will officially graduate (be conferred) at the ceremony, and:

Receive your hard copy testamur on your graduation day. Note: 91tv who have graduated in absentia and come back to attend the ceremony (alumni) need to order hard copy testamur with the cost of AUD 55.
Receive the full set of digital academic statements (testamur, AHEGS, conferral transcript) one week after the date of your ceremony.
Your RMIT student credentials (student email, Canvas, etc.) will be deactivated on the date of your ceremony.
You will be required to pay the ceremony fee to attend the ceremony.��

To apply to graduate:

1. Log in to  with your RMIT student ID and password. If you forgot your password, you can follow to reset it or contact RMIT Vietnam's IT services.

2. On the portal:

Select Graduation
Select Apply to graduate/ Change graduation option
Follow the instructions in Graduation Application Guidance to (a) select your graduation option, (b) confirm your preferred name order on the testamur, (c) confirm or update your personal details, and (d) submit your application.
For students attending the ceremony:
- Confirmation of attendance for the Vietnam ceremonies is currently unavailable. You will be notified via email as soon as this feature becomes accessible.
- For students applying to attend Melbourne ceremonies, confirmation of attendance is now available. Please follow the guidance from the Melbourne team to submit your confirmation at your earliest convenience by the deadline.
Check that your personal details in RMIT's records, including your personal email address, are correct.

Important notes

Application deadline��

If you do not apply to graduate by the deadlines mentioned in the email from RMIT, you will automatically graduate in absentia. In this case, the name order and personal email will be set as default.��

If you are not sure about the options, please choose to Attend the Ceremony, you can change your option anytime then.��

Supporting documents��

While waiting for the official certificate, you have the following options as supporting documents for your work/study applications:��

Request the Confirmation letters that confirm you have completed your program at RMIT.��Please log this request via Student Connect.��
Use Official digital academic transcript in My eQuals. In the transcript, there is a completion date (i.e. the date you complete your program at RMIT).��
Use Digital Statement of Academic Completion (SAC) in My eQual
- 91tv completing your programs from October 2022 onwards will automatically be issued with a digital SAC via My eQuals along with their completion transcript.��
- 91tv completing your programs before October 2022: You can order a digital or hard-copy SAC. Please for more information about SAC and how to order the digital and/or hard-copy version.��

Loss of access to RMIT systems��

Up to 24 hours after you are conferred (in absentia or at the ceremony), your RMIT student credentials, including your student email, Canvas, etc., will be deactivated. This is a legal requirement for RMIT.��

Before then, make sure you transfer the contents of your RMIT student emails to your personal email and download any course materials or other important information stored on RMIT systems.
