About

Kashif Iqbal holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Beijing 91tv of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). He is currently a Lecturer in Economics at the Business School, RMIT 91tv Vietnam, based at the South Saigon campus. Prior to joining RMIT, he served as an Associate Professor at Shanghai Dianji 91tv and as an Assistant Professor at Nanjing 91tv of Information Science and Technology (NUIST).

Dr. Iqbal has been actively engaged in both academia and policy research and has served as an editor for several internationally recognized journals. His research has been published in leading academic outlets such as Sustainable Development, Resources Policy, Ecological Indicators, Scientific Reports, and others.

Teaching interests

Kashif Iqbal teaches across core and applied areas of economics, with a focus on Econometrics, Big Data, and Machine Learning & Society. He brings a data-driven approach to courses such as International Trade, Development Economics, and Environmental Economics, emphasizing critical thinking, real-world application, and digital tools for policy analysis. His teaching bridges theory and practice to prepare students for future-focused, evidence-based careers.

Research interests

Kashif Iqbal’s research focuses on applied macroeconomics for sustainable policymaking, with interests in environmental economics, international trade, and the green economy. He explores how digital innovation and climate strategies shape economic transitions, using econometrics, forecasting, and big data analytics to deliver actionable insights for policy and practice.
