RMIT inaugural PhD symposium

About

The inaugural PhD Symposium will be held during Semester 2 Week 7 onÌýThursday, 13thÌýAugust 2020Ìýat the Saigon South Campus. The Symposium aims at creating a nurturing environment for HDR candidates to present their work, exchange ideas and receive feedback from fellow candidates and senior academics. In addition, this event will strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and research culture throughout RMIT Vietnam.

The symposium is compulsory for all HDR candidates of RMIT Vietnam, withÌýan exception of those who are on leave of absence. RMIT Vietnam academics currently pursuing a doctoral degree are also encouraged to present your work at the symposium.

Note: We will facilitate live streaming for participants based in Hanoi campus if they are unable to join in person.

Winner: Gift voucher valuedÌýat 3,000,000 VND

1st Runner-up:ÌýGift voucher valuedÌýat 2,000,000 VND

2nd Runner-up: Gift voucher valuedÌýat 1,000,000 VND

Notification of Paper Acceptance: 2ÌýAugust 2020

Submission requirements

Presenters must send the followings toÌýthao.vuphuong@rmit.edu.vn no later thanÌý26ÌýJuly 2020:

  1. An abstract (max 300 words)
  2. A summary of papers (max 5 pages)
  3. PowerPoint slides capped atÌý12 slides

Presentation format

A 10 minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A.
