Dr. Zahedani has spent the majority of his career in the industry, holding numerous senior leadership roles across various countries and major corporations. This extensive experience allows his students to gain a rich and diverse understanding of technology, enhancing both their knowledge and skills. He believes that “Technology must add value to business and our daily lives.”
As a practical thinker, Dr. Zahedani has developed a distinctive teaching style aimed at ensuring students can apply their learning in real-world scenarios. He emphasizes three core principles in his teaching methodology: student-centered learning, relevant content, and critical thinking.
“I strive to maximize the learning experience by using real-life scenarios and incorporating examples from my commercial life”, he explains. To illustrate the journey of innovation from “solution” to “revolution”, Dr. Zahedani often cites Apple as a prime example. From the iPod Shuffle to the iPhone and Apple Watch, each product has made a significant impact, transforming consumer behavior. The Apple Watch, for instance, not only tells time but also functions as a phone and health monitor. Despite initial skepticism about the success of the large-screen iPhone, it has proven to be a triumph. It is through technological advancements and innovative thinking that Apple has maintained its success and leadership. Dr. Zahedani encourages his students to not only read or listen; it's crucial to reflect and connect the dots with all the information stored in our brains and keep asking questions. For example, why has Apple achieved such success and what lessons can be learned in this case?
When asked about women leadership roles in technology, Dr. Zahedani said “I believe companies should dedicate 50% of their leadership positions to female talents. While working experience with Vietnamese experts since 2011, he has “witnessed exceptionally capable female talents. They are highly committed, eager to achieve more, uphold high standards of work ethics, and possess a strong work mentality,” Dr. Zahedani added.
